3z is home from Turkey

We, 3.z, have now returned from a 11 day schooltrip to Turkey, and we would like to send a little text about our wonderful trip. The first 4 days we were in Istanbul, where all 26 students lived with a Turkish host family. It was interesting and exciting to wake up with another family and follow the young student's life both in the school and in their free time. We arrived on Tuesday evening and on Thursday we spent a good old-fashioned tourist trip to see all the most important tourist attractions. Istanbul has some huge and beautiful mosques, including the Blue Mosque, which unfortunately we only managed to see from the outside. In addition, we experienced the Sultanate, Hagia Sophia, the Bazaar, a Turkish lunch and finally a visit to the Trump Towers.

The following day we were allowed to follow 2 of the Turkish student's lessons. The education system are one of the things we experienced as being the biggest differences in relation to Denmark. Because, in fact, I think many of us were a little surprised at how much their daily lives reminded of our own, despite the cultural differences and the age difference. But the school is about nothing but practicing for the test at the end of the year.

The first 4 days of the trip were probably the most educational, at least if we speak cultural understanding, because the next 6 days we spent at the all inclusive hotel in Alanya, with pool and volleyball courts available until the evening. In Alanya we focused on volleyball training every day from 9-12 and the last full day there were volley tournaments from 9-18, both mixed and gender-divided. So now out class are masters at Beachvolley  ;-)

I would like to thank 3.z, Lasse and all the volleyball coaches for an amazing schooltrip!
