GCP day 2021

Finally, we were able to gather all of the students at Rysensteen for the annual GCP day. It happened Friday the 12th of November, and it was a great success!

As usual, the day started in DGI Byen where both 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students were gathered for a debate on global issues moderated by Clement Kjersgaard. This year, none other than the former Foreign Minister of Denmark, Martin Lidegaard, politician Pelle Dragsted and political advisor Christopher Arzrouni participated in the debate. They discussed topics chosen by the students of Rysensteen. After this, the 3rd year students directed and produced films which were sent to the partnerschools around the world. The 1st and 2nd year students worked with key problems (Klafki's "Schlüsselprobleme") and prepared questions for a panel of youth politicians and activists. It was thereby the students who set the agenda for the debate. The GCP day ended with the students meeting in groups consisting of both 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. Together, they watched the films produced by the 3rd graders and those they had received from their partnerschool abroad.
