UN's Sustainable Development Goals
At Rysensteen Gymnasium we believe that the global citizen's key ability is the knowledge and capability to reflect in a nuanced way on "the other one" as well as themself, when engaging in encounters with foreign cultures.
But these abilities cannot stand on their own. We believe that a global citizenship will only develop when it is used in concrete actions. Therefore the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals are integrated into the Global Citizenship Programme. This means that all subjects are obligated to involve the goals in their curriculums and that many extra-curricular activities focus on one or several of the Sustainable Development Goals.
It is our hope that we can make a humble contribution to the UN's goals for sustainable development through the Global Citizenship Programme.
