3y in Boston 2024

3.y has just returned from their study trip to Boston.
Student Johan shares:
We started in Boston, where we went on a so-called Duck Tour — a sightseeing trip in an amphibious vehicle, both on land and water. The next two days were spent visiting Harvard and MIT. At Harvard, we were given a tour by a former Rysensteen student who now studies there, and she also gave us a brief lecture on solid-state physics, which some of us understood a bit of. At MIT, another Dane showed us around and followed up with a more tangible presentation on statistical physics. We also visited the JFK Museum and learned a lot about the president's life.
We then headed south to visit our partner school, Tabor Academy. We arrived Friday evening and spent the weekend with our host families. When Monday came, we joined the American classes, attending everything from economics to ceramics. We also participated in their after-school activities such as sailing and ice hockey. Additionally, we went out on their massive schooner and saw how they sail it, almost entirely student-run.
