Visit from our partnerschools 2025
In connection with RysMUN 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming partner students from our partner schools in Argentina, Spain, Egypt, Canada, Greenland, Croatia, France, and Germany.
In addition to participating in the RysMUN conference, the students stayed with host families from among Rysensteen’s own students. This homestay experience provided a framework for both friendships and cultural exchange.
During their visit, the students took part in a variety of cultural experiences and social events. The delegation from Argentina, for instance, enjoyed a communal dinner at Folkehuset Absalon – in true Vesterbro fashion. Our partners from Egypt took a trip to Malmö to experience the close collaboration between Sweden and Denmark. The Croatian delegation visited Louisiana Museum and Kronborg Castle, where they performed the iconic “To Be or Not to Be” monologue in both English and Croatian. The Greenlandic guests sampled global cuisines at the street food market on Refshaleøen, while the Canadian students were given a guided tour of Copenhagen and learned about the city’s climate adaptation strategies and efforts to combat rising sea levels.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all Rysensteen students for their wonderful hospitality – and not least to our partner schools for inspiring conversations and a meaningful reunion.
Despite the many challenges facing the world, we are proud that we once again managed to bring together young people from around the globe here at Rysensteen Gymnasium.
