On Friday the 9th of February Rysensteen Gymnasium will host a virtual conference in the network United Global Education Network (UGEN) for the seventh time. The network consists of schools from all over the world - both from our partner schools and other collaborators. In the network we debate pedagogical, didactical and organisational issues and teachers and leaders from the schools present and learn from each other.
On Thursday morning for the opening of this year's RYSMUN, we had a distinguished visit from President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. Together with the 2nd grade students and our visiting partner school students, the EU, European Parliament elections, Tiktok, Elections in the USA, climate etc. were discussed. All in all, it was a great pleasure to hear about the EU and discuss topics that concern the students.
Rysensteen Gymnasium and partner school Tabor Academy have this year created the first attempt at a teacher's exchange. The idea for the teacher's exchange came during our long collaboration with Tabor and aims to support our Global Citizenship Programme and Tabor Academy's Intercultural Faculty Programme.
At the beginning of September we had the pleasure of a visit from our Spanish partner school Colegio Estudio. 3.b opened their homes to the students and showed them around in Copenhagen. The trip consisted, among other things, of a canal cruise, a visit to Louisiana, a trip to the botanical garden, a visit to Helsingborg and ended with communal dining at Absalon. This week 3.b traveled to Spain, where the Spanish students will host the danish students.
