3.y in Boston

Dear Rysensteen

We are now on our last day of this trip to Boston. We arrived back in Boston yesterday, after 4 days of homestay at Tabor Academy. We’ve been part of the average school day, and have learned everything from 3D-printing to ceramics. At night, we’ve been participating in different activities, with both our host families and at school. Some of us have gone apple picking, while others have been roasting marshmallows over a bonfire, like a true American. To gain a better understanding of each other’s school systems and cultures, we held a discussion, where some students from Tabor Academy and almost all of 3.y showed up. All while having fun and chatting with students, we gained more knowledge as to how and why we do things differently across the Atlantic.

Before going to Tabor Academy, we had a week in Boston, where we lived in China Town. We’ve visited MIT and Harvard, where some Ph.D. students held mini lectures and showed us around. We learned a lot about quantum computers, from different perspectives. On the remaining days, we’ve gone to different museums, like the USS constitution, J.F Kennedy and Boston museum of fine arts.

We know have out last day to do some shopping and enjoy the sun, before we return to cold Denmark.
