News from 3.c in Egypt

Since laste we wrote, we have been enjoying ‘family days’, seen the pyramids and the sphinx and now we are enjoying the last day of our Nile cruise. We spent the ‘family days at The Red Sea, where hotel rooms had been rented for us. We spent one of the days snorkling, bathing and enjoying the sun. Saturday night we went back to Cairo, to be ready to see the pyramids sunday. The pyramids and the sphinx a sight to behold, but a couple of people had a rather uncomfortable experience with some street vendors. It started out innocent enough with the street vendor offering to take a picture of you and then before you knew of it you were placed on top of a camel riding away from everybody. Luckily it only ended up being an overpriced camel ride to get away from the aggressive street vendors. Monday we went away on the Nile cruise. Since then we have experienced temples, a Nubian village, riding on camels and in horse-drawn carriages. All in all it has been a wonderful trip and we would love to stay longer. But we are looking forward to getting home and having some rye bread.
