France - Saint Brieuc

Lycée Ernest Renan

For many years, the French-classes at Rysensteen have had a very special collaboration with our partner school Lycée Ernest Renan i Saint-Brieuc in Brittany.

The collaboration consists of an exchange visit, where a group of students from Rysensteen are visited by a partner class from Lycée Ernest Renan in the winter. Then, in the following spring the students from Rysensteen will visit the students from Ernest Renan in Saint-Brieuc.

The two weeks of exchange will give the Danish students a special opportunity to practice their French and learn about what it is like to live as a teenager in Brittany as well as what similarities and differences there are to their own day to day life. In this sense, the experience is similar to the GCP exchange visits in the students' third year, but the exchange with Ernest Renan has a larger focus on the cultural exchange through the use and practice of the language.

Lycée Ernest Renan is located in the provincial town of Saint-Brieuc in the north of Brittany at the coast of The English Channel. During the trip to Saint-Brieuc, the Danish students will also be able to explore the area along with their French partner students.

Ask your French teacher to hear more about the exchange program.
