3k in Uganda 2024

The class spent ten days in Uganda in the weeks leading up to the autumn break. The trip included: visits to the partner school in Kasubi, homestays with Ugandan partner students, and visits to Plan’s projects in the slums of Kampala, focusing on climate adaptation and sustainable waste recycling. After a few days in the bustling city of Kampala, with a side trip to meet Plan sponsor children in Kamuli, we wrapped up with some relaxation in Murchison Falls National Park and a visit to a coffee farm in Hoima, where climate change is also impacting production. Filled with challenges, impressions, new friendships, and experiences they couldn’t get anywhere else, the class returned to a well-deserved autumn break.
