3u in New York 2024

The trip began in the vibrant city of New York. A walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge ended with a beautiful boat ride to Staten Island, where they could see the iconic Statue of Liberty. The class also visited the Empire State Building, where they truly experienced the city’s lights and grandeur. At Amateur Night at the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, the class witnessed emerging talents in singing and dance. Through multiple tours in neighborhoods like Brooklyn, Chinatown, and Harlem, the class observed the multicultural and dynamic city that has influenced the global community for centuries.

After New York, the class took a bus to the state of Maine, where they were picked up by their host families. Here, the class gained a unique insight into the daily life of an American family. 3.U had also prepared ensemble pieces and choir performances, culminating in a concert at Marshwood High School, where they also had the privilege of hearing Marshwood's own talents. At Marshwood High School, the class participated in various classes, including drama, religion, and film studies. 3.U says thank you for a great trip!
